Twinning partnerships for improvement - Advocacy brief launch
Dear colleagues,
We are delighted to announce the release of the WHO advocacy brief “Twinning Partnerships for Improvement: building quality health services for COVID-19 recovery and beyond”.
This report represents a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to support institutional health partnerships. It provides a deeper understanding of the WHO’s Twinning Partnerships for Improvement (TPI) approach as a mechanism for improving the quality of care during the recovery phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, and is relevant for other health events of this nature.
Drawn from country experiences, the document highlights valuable lessons learned and the innovative solutions that emerged from twinning partnerships to overcome the restrictions and challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The take away message is that international institution-to-institution relationships can provide a vehicle for real-time implementation of effective improvements and shared learning, through an approach that can contribute to overall strengthening of health systems, while building resilience, aiding recovery and laying the foundations for responding effectively to health threats now, and in the future.
We invite you to widely share the insights and recommendations outlined in this advocacy brief among your networks. You can access the document here.
Thank you for your continued commitment and support to advancing our collective mission to improve the quality of healthcare worldwide.
Warm regards
Quality of Care Unit
